Sandy City Fire Department is hosting a Wildland Community Outreach Day at Hidden Valley Park (11700 S. Wasatch Blvd.) on Saturday, April 29 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
The Wildland Community Outreach Day will be an opportunity to learn and prepare for wildfire utilizing the Ready, Set, Go! Program. Creating a defensible space around your home is essential to improve your home’s chance of surviving a wildfire either from embers, direct flame contact, or radiant heat. Proper defensible space also provides firefighters a safe area to work in order to defend your home.

Date: April 29
